In my quest to cross the largo with a truck and a 4x4 I have attached extra fogs to the front and have wiring from another Largo to wire them up. However, could do with some clarification on the procedure.

I have worked out the easy bit - new fogs plug into wiring which also plug into original fogs then wiring goes to battery and ground and two relays these then ground and battery I think (not in front of me now so tring to remember), that's not the problem its the other wire that must go to the terminal to the left of the under bonnet to hook up with fog terminal?Huh (nicely printed in English on the lid). There two plugs on the end of the fog wiring a male and female, but don't see where these go... Must be here somewhere as now the fog terminal is bypassed using this wiring. Sure I've confused everything now as I am confused.

Any help greatly appreciated...

Simon

Part 2

ok got wiring layout.

This is the wiring taken from another largo, although it wasn't me who took it so I have no clue.

It does mean that the colours of wires should match and do to begin, with see pic.

The circled part is the part I can not work out where it goes. From the relays I have a blue wire and an orange wire which go to a 3 pin plug (male) from this a green wire leads to another plug - 2 pin (male) which finally leads to a female 2 pin plug green and orange wire. This must to fit to the fog wiring/switch from the steering column somehow or somewhere - got the dash of at the mo, hmmm...

If you have a grandage (think that's the name) with bars and fogs on please look under your bonnet...

Part 3: sussed last two plugs fit into light sockets on steering column, but the plug before this is still a no go... WHERE DOES IT GO: 3 pin blue & orange wires coming from relays (male)....

Part 4: I have stared and stared at the wiring diagram and compared with the one suggested by Largomark and have come up with a possible adaptation, see pic 2 - what do you think?

Part 5: I have used adaption 2 and attached final diagram. Hope it helps...

It's great when it works! Big smiles...

I think you'll have to upload a wiring diagram of what you've
connected where, for anyone to have any hope of helping

Maybe just find the original fog live and connect to the live on your new lights and then to earth. if you dont have original fogs then your fogged, seriously though all you need is a switch which has a switch live, live and earth, connect the live wire to a permanent live and earth it anywhere on the body the third connection must feed the live on the new lights. earth to earth again. file the relay !!! it's only making thinks complicated. there is enough relays on the wagon to cope.

Maybe i'm wrong but it works in my head Ha Ha

Simon I had a look at your diagram , but without seeing the van, it is very hard to follow what's going on. Huh  I think that using the fog light loom from another largo is making things a lot harder. I have attached a wiring diagram showing how I would go about the job. I would advise using a relay in the circuit otherwise the Largo wiring may struggle with the extra load.

I have shown all the negative wiring running back to the battery but in reality a lot of this can be earthed to the chassis.

I hope this goes someway to help you.

Pic2 is highly likely.
I would give it a try. Worst thing that can happen is you will blow a fuse.

Nice one  Grin Grin Grin

Might be worthwhile attaching one last wiring diagram to this post in case anyone else finds themselves in the same situation.
